checkings and savings accounts for a student worker?
I am a new retail worker earning 8.25 per hour with about 20-30 hrs per week. I am also a college student without a bank account. What should look for in a checkings accounts and should i even consider a savings with the little amount i am making? should a banks closeness factor in my decision? do i never have to visit a bank as long as i have a ATM nearby to cash checks and other transactions? thank you in advance
Check your local banks for students accounts. Most of them offer some sort of student accounts. If your local banks do not offer student accounts, see if they offer a free checking account with direct deposits, if your employer provides a direct deposit option for your pay.
