Need urgent help with Payday advance debt, and losing my job, anyone please give advice?
I got 2 payday advances and have lost my job. I owe £250 altogether, and now owe the bank about £50 in charges for bouncing the payday cheques. Now I am really stuck, I have no job, no money at all! and i owe this money, there is no way i can get it soon, Im scared because i know these comapnies will just keep adding charges and i could end up in a stupid amount of debt unless it is sorted. I am only 18 and finding a job is difficult at the moment, its really affecting my life and relationships, causing me a great deal of anxiety and stress. Where do i turn to with a problem like this? I cant just find £300 from no where, I need some serious help, iv never been in this situation, what happens if you dont pay these sorts of loans, has anyone had experience with payday loans. Also where can i go for help, as im really scared and cant sleep at night. Any help would be appreciated thank you, my heads really messed up at the moment.
Your first move is to contact the Payday folk and let them know about your current situation. It’s always better to keep people informed, rather than hide away and ignore them. Secondly, you should contact your local citizen’s advice department. They are experts in debt issues and can give you much better information and help than you will get from us Yahoo punters. Thirdly, don’t let this situation rule your life. We have all had some trouble with debt at one time or another. It’s not worth getting stressed about. You used the Payday facility whilst in employment, I’m sure that you are not the first person who has lost their job before honouring the debt. It would be far worse for you if you had lied to them, originally and did not actually have a job. Try to relax and let the citizen’s advice folk work on your behalf. Good luck.
